About Shotodo

Shotodo is an iPhone app that turns screenshots into Calendar events, Reminders and Contacts. It is made by Derva and built by Arron Pinder.

Why Shotodo exists

Most of us screenshot things we mean to deal with later: a text with a time, a bill, a booking. Then they sit in the camera roll until it is too late. Shotodo reads those screenshots and puts each item where it belongs, in Apple's own apps.

About the author

I'm Arron Pinder. Since I was a kid, people have called me Mr. Fix It. If something was slow or clumsy, I took it apart to see how it worked, then put it back together so it took fewer steps. I built my own computers from scratch, and I have always seen problems as puzzles to solve.

That perfectionist streak is why I run a skincare company today, where the details decide everything. It also means I'm the person Shotodo is for. I have no time to waste, at work or at home. Supplier quotes, appointment texts, bill due dates: I screenshot them, and then they sit in my camera roll until it is too late.

So I fixed it the way I fix everything: by cutting steps. With Shotodo, the screenshot is the only step. It becomes the reminder, the event or the contact, in Apple's own apps, and nothing slips through.
